    Ventilation rates

Is it ok to work on air changes per hour rather than 10l/s?

Is this acceptable under building regs as the room I'm looking at requires 1770M3/hr yet the people rate is 8 times that.....!

    Re: Ventilation rates

    Hi Richard

The air change rate should be adhered to, to comply with Part F. The 10l/s/person is the fresh air requirement for each occupant.

What this means is that your system can be recirculating to achieve the air change rates, with the fresh air amount added to this and a balancing amount discharged to atmosphere.

Some instances require a large amount of fresh air (2000 seat bingo hall) where the total fresh air volume is sufficient to satisfy the ACH rate as well.
