R 404a for r 402 a dorin comp

I have a compressor dorin k 300 sb use r402a pls can you inform me if i can use another refrigerant ( for example r404 a)

if the compressor and the installation is filled with old type oil (3GS), than you have to retrofit, changing the oil with syntethic oil. if there is not more than 3% old oil inside the compressor, you can change to the new gas R404A.
if the compressor is older than about 15 years, best ask the factory.

I think so. For R404A just check if the current draw by the compressor motor will still be acceptable.
