Re: f-gas
1 Excisting qualification is valid until July 2011 (unless it is CITB and already lapsed if it is
lapsed it will need renewing soonest)
2 Brazing is just a very small part of the overall assessment and yes you do need to do it.
But it is one braze on 1/2" or 5/8" pipe thats all.
3 No differance between CITB and C&G except
- CITB is renewable every 5 years (C&G is for life)
- CITB is an open paper based exam (C&G is closed book on a PC)
Each individual working on refrigeration systems must have the new Fgas qual
to work unsupervised from July 2011. To get on site (construction) you need one
of the quals (either will do) and then a passport to work card (CSCS??card)
All the best

Re: f-gas
I have been in this game for 23 years and have an old C&G certificate but I still had to take the new F-gas C&G course.
