    Question Welding Procedures



    I am looking for information about welding procedures for ammonia refrigeration piping. Recommended piping found in ASHRAE Regrigeration Handbook for this application is carbon steel either ASTM A53 Grade A or B or ASTM A106. I want to verify if nitrogen purge is required or not for welding.

    nitrogen purging not good, crystalizes weld.
