I'm trying to communicate with the two old York chillers. It's a Millennium chiller controlled by the York BMS now, we will be removing the York BMS and installing a new Honeywell, Siemens or Distec. Is Modbus the best solution.

modbus is the easy way but you coud try to monitor only inlet and outlet water temperature and remote start stop compresor and general operations.
