Refrigeration effect
Hi Guys, are there any additives that can be injected the refrigerant cycle - To improve system refrigeration effect? For ACs and all.

Re: Refrigeration effect
No, I mean an additive that is injected into the refrigerant to improve its cooling effect.

Re: Refrigeration effect
No, some firms claim miracles but the only thing that should be inside the pipes is oil and refrigerant.

Re: Refrigeration effect
If there was anything better than the refrigerant then the refrigerant manufacturer would use it as the refrigerant.
The only thing that should be in with the refrigerant is the oil and we tolerate the oil only because it stops the comp from seizing up.

Re: Refrigeration effect
Keep the condenser coils clean and clear of obstructions that could impede airflow.
Keep the evaporator clean and ensure good airflow. Keep the filter clean!!!
As long as the refrigerant charge is correct, then she's doing the best she can!If at first you DO succeed, try to hide your astonishment!!

Re: Refrigeration effect
The system efficiency can be maintained only by proper maintenance... It cannot be improved by ant external additive...

Re: Refrigeration effect
Not by adding anything, but looking more at your process, clean filters, condensers etc. Installing your condenser in the coolest place also helps. For every 1 deg C you lower your condensing temp, you have 3 % more capacity and use 3 % less energy. These changes cost reletively little. After that there are things like subcoolers etc, with higher cost.

Re: Refrigeration effect
I agree, it would be extremely difficult to optimize further a properly designed, installed, and maintained system by adding another fluid. There are products out there that make claims but the data supporting those claims is severly lacking in my opinion.
