Part P
This has been quiet for a while.
For my summer domestic stuff "Summer Essentials" shall we say i have been a bit naughty, so to speak, and just fitted a 13a plug.
Today, i was talking to the old fella, and he was telling me about a new training centre he has just set up with some chaps from "NAPIT"
Apperantly, i can be 16th edition qualified, able to poroduce my own "part p" certificates. within three days, for £600.
Has anybody else found somtehing to make us legal?
If i get enough responses, i will publish some photo's of a 16th edition qualified, part p registered, trainers handywork.
cheers

Re: Part P
Quite right. It's worth reading the explanatory stuff on the ODPM web site. For small splits and interconnecting wiring its not as bad as it sounds.
I?m not sure if you have seen this brochure produced by ODPM. On page 4 (left side of page 1) it lists NAPIT along with other industry regulatory bodies you can choose similar schemes from. They regulate installers who carry out work associated with their work. Not all may suit AC contractors. CORGI, for example will specialise in their area of work.
http://www.odpm.gov.uk/stellent/grou...reg_033485.pdf
It may be worth shopping around to see if there are other schemes for professionals who are not installing electrical contractors and how often assessments are needed.
