    Question Rankine Cycle



    Anyone know of any practical Rankine cycle units in the market, old or new or even under development.
    I'm looking for material to support a paper.

    check out yourownpower.com and find pdf format paper by holdman et al about carrier unit converted to organic rankine cycle for power production.

    pretty much anyone who uses steam to make electricity.

    they run the cycle backwards and call it refrigeration

    i want to known if some one can help me to find a place to byu or a scroll compressor or a scroll expander for a low power orc system ,that i project to built.Also how to modify a compressor to expander

    Scroll as expander: biggest issue is getting lubricant from Low Side back to high and managing the operating temperature of lubricnat. Swiss have been building large scrolls for utitlity expanders for industrial processes, believe AB & B are involved in it. See if this helps at all...
