    Unhappy LG Refrigerator strange problem

First, Im new one to forum.

    Problem is here:

I have LG GR-262 series micom controlled refrigerator. brought mid 2006. cooling is ok. but problem is it uses too much power.

at times it brought and later (tested on 2008) it consumed roughly 1 kwh per day.

but now, it consumed more than 2.5 kwh per day.

Ref is rated power of 106W 220V

No door seal leaks, evaporator fan faults, clogs in air vents/drain. no faults in defrosting, no fault in micom/sensors.

I think compressor draw too much current. is it possible ?

I tested compressor current with Digital multimeter's AC current range. it show 1.33 Amp @ 220V input
    (after stabilized)

I tested power consumption with analog watt meter it shows more than 160W consumed by compressor
    (that meter mesure only true-power)

compressor is PTC start type. no fault in PTC.

    please, I need expert's ideas..

I forgot to told that temrature setting makes little changes in power consumption.

today I checked the running time:

    35 minutes on / 25 minutes off

    @ mid setting

Take off the fiber cover at the bottom of the back and thoroughly clean everything. Make sure the fan underneath is working properly and the fan blade is clean. If it can't get rid of the heat, the power usage skyrockets.

sounds like the air flow past condenser coil is bad. try brushing and vac. to clean out.. I still use an old bottle brush left over from my kids
