    There goes the neighborhood

Students Develop New Type of AC System
BLUFFDALE, Utah—Two Utah teenagers have invented an automobile air-conditioning system that uses the Peltier effect. The device, which the students call “Space Beast,” taps into a vehicle’s electrical system, uses fans to blow hot air through five Peltier chips and then releases cold air. These cold chips have a 55% eff compared to carnot cycle

Thanks for the info. It seems that the guys is using peltier elements, could the have made a form of feedback from the
hot side of the engine system to get more out of the peltier element.
I cant figure out how they have done this, if they only use 4
small peltier elements for a car.

It does look nice but every Monday and Thursday, we here of new inventions in many fields, It doesn't say anywhere in what conditions was it made.

I doubt very much that it will work in Utah, in the hot summer, outside.
I will believe it when I see it.
