    Chiller tripped main breaker

got a McQuay chiller running on autotrans, everytime it starts, it will trip the main breaker. Have remove the cables to meg the motor, it showed a range from 20Mohms to 100Mohms. The cables showed 2Mohms from motor to autotrans.
Not sure whether this will cause the trip, or any problem with the autotrans? any ways to check the autotrans? Thanks...

    A breaker can't trip.
Is it a thermal switch, magnetic switch or differential switch?

Yes, but MCBs can either be thermal switches or magnetic switches. Which one?
    What model is it?
What are the LRA and MRA of the compressor?
