    bock f3 24 clutch

    hi all.

I have installed a bock f3 compressor on a fishing boat engine with 24v clutch.(I have installed lots f2 compressors with same clutch all working correctly)after couple days the clutch burns out melting and destroying the hub to.the clutch is a 6in clutch.I think the clutch is not big enough to drive the compressor and is slipping and burning out,but the supplyer says its big enough.

The system is running on r404a and is running at 1bar suction about 13 bar condensing.static evaperators 30m of 3/4 pipe.can anyone help. Paul

    paulc81,
Your 6''clutch is too small for the F3.
Bock specifies a 210mm pulley with 2 A section belts for speeds between 960 and 1800 rpm.
    You need a larger pulley.

With the F2 compressor, Bock recommends a 165mm 2A Section pulley.
Your supplier is not telling you the truth.
