    expansion valve with MOP

    hi
is there a way to test the operation of these, as i have an intermitting fault, with a circut icing up evap to compressor every few days.

im thinking debrie or moisture making its was to tev which is unlikely.

when normal tev ones go, they go!!!

    any ideas

    rgrds phil

If water is issue, than you could heat valve body with hot fan to see if that melt ice in valve and restores normal superheat.
What is valve make and model #?
Every few weeks you said. It looks to me as ice in valve. Maybe filter-drier is saturated.

    Re: expansion valve with MOP

    Hi mate
I have not got the model of valve, it is starting to become more frequent, every few days!! Moisture sight glass suggests system is dry!!
The hole valve and coil are iced up apart from external equalise line, may be because exposed to ambient however valve is also @ 20c...

    Thanx
