Samsung fridge/freezer model RSH1DTMH

Can anyone help? I usually keep my fridge at 4 degrees and periodically have to defrost it because it forms ice inside and the water pipes freeze .... last time I switched it back on the display flashed on and off and now only one small section at the bottom of the fridge temperature display is flashing green - none of the controls work. I have switched it off and on again and the same thing happens. What is more milk is going sour after two days, so I'm guessing it is not cool enough.
