If it's broke then walk away unless you fancy a good training exercise in "Fridge Repair and Associated Problems".

OH MY, shokenore, this manufacturer is now using R600A? Unfortunately i've had to walk away from working on this brand of fridge due to the complex electronics involved. Yeh, take Brian UK's advice..

Hi Shokenore, over the last 3 or 4+ years the domestic fridge industry has ramped up somewhat with cramming as much electronics as they see fit into their products. In Australia the good old Kelvinator or Westinghouse that ran on mechanical controls faded away 10 or so years ago, only to replaced by electronics, and now near every domestic is the same. check out my thread in domestic page 2, scantool for domestics... mike.

Hey Magoo. A domestic fridge with a charge of R600a is not exactly a half megaton nuclear bomb.

95% of domestic fridges and beer display cases for bars and pubs are running on r600a. The average charge is 150g (5oz), as much as a couple of dozen lighters.

    Hi Greg.
have you ever thrown a half empty lighter in a fire. As in a Bic Flick.
