We're going to Bristol this weekend to watch the Aussies get trounced again! (Of course my wife disagrees, but then she is Australian! )

Last heard they had headed down to the bookies to put a small wager on the game.

    All jokes aside....

The English team is definitely looking like it is going to be the next team to dominate in the future.

They are a much improved side

I think that may be slightly premature -although the aussies are an ageing team they still are the best in the world..

Pieterson is quite a good player.

    1 all
    Well done chaps.
Although we nearly limped over the line.

I hope Glenn McGrath is match fit for the next test.We surely missed him.
(Sure the English boys didnt leave those balls on the pitch that he tripped over?)

Well I must say I was more than a tad suprised that we managed to hold on and win the ashes

I would also like to congratulate that fine English man Peiterson (good English name that for sure) on his magnificient 150+
I think all in all a great series and the highlight -for me- was the Aussies coming out last night after a bad light delay with their sunglasses on ;-)

    Cheers

    Well Done England.

It's been a long time coming.

All Great cricket teams eventually have to come crashing down. It happened to the West Indies now looks like the same thing has happened to the Aussies.

Big celebrations in England I bet.

Hardly 'crashing down' -the series has really lighted cricket here in England. There were plenty of ups and downs on both sides.

However on balance I still feel the Aussies were the better side. I also suspect most here did too as you don't pay 60 quid for a ticket and cheer when rain/bad light is called !!

    Cheers

    Bloody Aussies.

They cant beat England for the ashes, but they can crush a team containing 11 of the worlds best players.
