Altherma Cooling Performance?
I'm considering a Daikin Altherma to run a radiant floor heat and ductless cooling setup in hot humid Southeast US, but I'm concerned about the cooling performance. Daikin materials and catalogs indicate an EER of between 3 and 4, while simple window A/C units range between 8 and 10 here in the U.S., with minisplits often going into ranges above 11. Is the Altherma a cold weather machine with minimal hot weather capabilities?
Question 2: I've been advised by an online article that hot humid customers should not consider A/C units with a Sensible Heat Ratio above 0.75. Does anyone have Sensible and Latent performance data for the Altherma?
Thanks in advance from a newbie.
