Copper pipe for Mitsubishi R410a Models
Hi all.
What grade of copper is needed for mitsubishi R410a models we have 4 MSH-GA60VB wall mounted units to fit on monday morning ..
We have not used these units before with r410a refrigerant but after reading afew articles on the net i am a bit concerned that we have been supplied with soft copper 21swg by our supplier for the job.
Will this stand the pressure ..
Thanks chris..

What is a CONCENTRIC flare tool? I called our local RSD and they are not sure, does it make a double wall?

Normal fridge pipe is OK upto 3/4" however, check the charts in the HRP book to make sure the wall thickness is OK as you go up in size. I am using 16g on any thing over 3/4" if it's available.

hi chris i ve just entered re. i ve installated some of these{msz 60gb va} for example. your copper pipe is 5/8 and 1/4 .the thickness of your pipes must be 1.0mm for 5/8 and 0.8mm for 1/4. use a good eccentric flaring tool for not having leaks. {read carefully the installation manual and you wont have any problems!!!!
