Liebherr BioFresh Safes (and similar)

Hi

We're in the process of looking for a new fridge freezer, and I was hoping I might be able to tap some of the expertise on here regarding Liebherr BioFresh safes (and other similar humidity controlled drawers).

Do they actually work, i.e. keep stuff for longer without freezing things like lettuce etc?

I'm a bit concerned that the very low temparatures might damage fragile veg like lettuce, and don't want to pay extra for the feature if it isn't going to do the job properly.

I've searched all over, but can't find anything except for the same regurgitated marketing spiel, so I was hoping someone on here might have some experience of them.

Yes, they work. It's not magic - near zero temps slows down the molecules and thus decomposition. If you find sensitive items freezing you can micro-adjust the BioFresh safes throught the customer menu to your liking.
