Beko fridge constantly humming and too cold

I think this may be a common question. I have a Beko under-counter fridge which seems to be running continually. It has developed a loud humming noise. I have looked at the back of the fridge and can't see anything out of place and it is free from dirt and dust. The compressor is quite hot to the touch. I have noticed also that although the fridge setting was set to 2, the food inside was colder than it should've been. I changed this to 1 and there is still ice build-up on the inside back of the fridge. I think therefore it maybe that the thermostat needs replacing as it seems to be working overtime to keep the fridge cold. Either that, or it has detatched itself from the fridge somehow. If it does need a new thermostat, how easy it to replace? Many thanks.... Paul

your compressor should not be running hot if it is too cold in the fridge, is it a forced draft condenser, this could be blocked, it could be short of refrigerant, I would suggest calling your local refrigeration serviceman
