Anyone has Dorin condensing unit info
I have a Dorin semi-hermetic condensing unit with 15 hp. I am confused with the
1) min and max flowrate of the compressor
2) what is the charging amount?
Anyone used this model from Dorin before, can kindly reply this thread.. Thanks

Re: Anyone has Dorin condensing unit info
Positive displacement compressors, unless inverter driven, have a fixed flow rate. When inverter driven, the min and max frequency is specified on the compressor documentation, and is generally 25-70Hz for normal range, or 15-87Hz for the extended range.
And condensing units do not have a charging amount, just because of their name: they are CONDENSING units, not a complete refrigerant circuit. The charge is undetermined.

Re: Anyone has Dorin condensing unit info
The model name is AUI2-HI1500CC
It has a inverter, however the flowrate stated in the catalog is confusing..
min flowrate is 19.53 m^3/h, too low for my application but it can provide the desired cooling capacity..
I thought dorin condensing unit should have a max charging amount.. or should I say all condensing unit should have a max limit of charging refrigerant..

19.53÷73.23 m^3/h at 20÷75 Hz! I don't see what is confusing there!

Re: Anyone has Dorin condensing unit info
My guess: this is not the air flow rate. It is the refrigerant volume flow rate. Is this what you find confusing? And for the max charge, it would be easier if you could give us an hint about the system.
If you think the charge is too small, you could easily add an additional liquid receiver just after the existing one.Last edited by NoNickName; 28-07-2010 at 01:02 PM.

19.53÷73.23 m^3/h at 20÷75 Hz is the displacement at 20 hz and 75 hz
