Antique Refrigerator (Shelvador) - Questions
I love our 1947 crosley shelvador in our cabin in the woods, but its electromechanical start/relay has failed
due to burned points, un-fixable to my eye...
i intend to install a 'supco 3'n'1' replacement, but need to estimate the HP of the compressor motor.
no obvious markings or specs to guide.
any educated guesses? 1/12/ HP? 1/2 HP? or?
Also - what's the refrigerant in this baby (1947) likely to be and how would i ever recharge it if needed?
any advice, especially from anyone with experience with the shelvador, much appreciated.
TIA
Smee
