Hi Harry.
The official answer is below, It sounds a bit Heavy!!
Grizzly
2E6 Check Clock Info Latch The real time clock had detected loss of its oscillator at some time in the past. This diagnostic can be effectively cleared only by writing a new value to the chiller's time clock using the TechView or DynaView's "set chiller time" functions. Remote

Re: trane RTAC alarm
clock is a non latching alarm.
what version techview do you use?
do you connect straight from a serial port or through a USB-RS232 adapter? If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Re: trane RTAC alarm
It is version 12.1.
I connect through a USB-RS232 adapter.
I have the same connection problem to a chiller RTAC 350.

Re: trane RTAC alarm
make sure u have the com port set up to the right one. V12.1 is compatable with higher com ports than 3.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Re: trane RTAC alarm
Hi Harry,
The latest software is 12.1 and SP4.
Trane control department in France has tested 3 USB à RS232 adaptors. One of them is IOGEAR GUC232A.
I have it but I also bought a used laptop with serial port only to use it in TechView, so I have not test it yet.
2E6: Easy view boards have a battery for the clock. I have several times change the battery but the problem came out again.
The problem is a specific failure on the board. I always change the board with a Dynaview.
2E6 is not critical for the operation of the chiller, but you always have an alarm. If this is not a problem it’s OK.
Hope I help.
