    Hotpoint FFS70 Frdge freezing up

    Hi

The back panel plasctic of the fridge unit is covered in ice and the temperature is at or below freezing. The thermostat control does not appear to have any effect. Freezer seems unaffected. Any ideas? It hasn't been switched off for ?years? and I've never used the "holiday" button.

    Thanks

    Adrian

Seems to be pretty uniform ice - in droplet shape - over whole of back panel. Not too sure if comp. is running constantly, although we don't think so. The temperature adj. does not appear to have any effect either.

    Thanks.
