HVAC system trend in the future
As the energy consumption become a global issue, saving energy or high efficiency is most important in design the HVAC system.
Yesterday I attended Mr Jiangyi ( Prof.of Tsinghua Univ)'s lecture about the HVAC system trend in the future. One of the key point is decouple the sensible and latent heat in air treatment in HVAC system. DOAS combines with radiant or other terminals(e.g dry FCU) can apply higher cooling water (16~18Centigrade) and low heating water(30~35Centigrade) and thus contribute much to the system energy effiencency.They've developed one liquid dissiccant fresh air unit with total heat recovery. Europe is leading in HVAC tech,what the most hopeful HVAC system in their studies?

Re: HVAC system trend in the future
Hi David,
it's a good one.
My understanding is the flow is :
1. outside air cooled by fluid cooler(cooling tower?),air temp drop ;
2. pass the make-up coil(plastic coil) and air temp slightly rise;
3.return air +make up air pass DX cooling coil(sensible heat,no dehumidification?);
4.exhaust air pass condenser and help to cool
the energy efficient profit is from:
# evaprative water cooling to pre-cool air(I'm not sure if the humid be lower by the spraying process);
# exhuast air help to cool the condenser and reduce compressor power consumption;
# DX coil deal with mostly the sensible heat and reduce compressor load.
pls help to review and give the correct answer.
thanks
