Best to get an all in one controller such as a thermomax etc available from climate centre. As for power to compressor you need a control circuit and contactor, probably best getting someone experienced to take a look

Re: wiring help needed apply within , lol !
control the soleniod with your thermostat, and control the compressor on a LP switch, use a HP switch to control one of your condenser fans to control head pressure and the other condenser fan run with the compressor... if you need this drawn up let me know..

Re: wiring help needed apply within , lol !
You need someone with knowledge in electrical automation to do that for you, since, from your questions, and result, you are not capable to do that, and electricity is not forgiving force.
Wiring diagram is not needed to experienced technician. It is simple, but if you are not familiar with that, you should let someone experienced to do that, and you look, ask and learn while he is doing it.
Correct section would be:

Come on, this is technology of the 50s. No place for this setup in 2010.
http://www.dixell.com/linea58/download/XR06CX_GB.PDF is a starting point for a modern design of a condensing unit.

What's the difference?
That controller will operate a sol valve and pump down the system exaclty how he suggested. He mentioned 'stat' but did not define what type of stat either..
Sure the head isn't going to be controlled as closely as a speed controller but that's all you can comment and that controller isn't applicable for that in any case...

Re: wiring help needed apply within , lol !
You could add dodgy Italian electronics but that would be cruel and totally untrue..
However you are still not giving the guy the benefit of the doubt as he just said 'stat' and that could mean all manner of things including an all singing all dancing electronic controller...

It's nice to see that the scepter of the most chauvinist nationals in Europe is no longer in the hands of French.
To be completely honest, I was one of the first to adopt Trend in Italy, and alas soon reverted back to the dodgy Italian controllers.
It would need lots more fish and chips for British electronics to be that dodgy, my friend.
And no, a mechanical thermostat is well removed from the digital regulator I suggested, but if you don't get the difference, you can still keep using the bits and pieces you are familiar with.

Do you mean modern, dependable, flexible and efficient?
Or do you mean old fashioned, legacy, energy hungry? PRONTO!

Re: wiring help needed apply within , lol !
nice come back!
no, what i meant was simple to understand and learn from if labour intensive to install. if the guy is capable, and just lacks understanding why not give him something he can do.
everything can be explained using the terminology of a light switch. and lets face it, if he can't understand that then Nike is right, he needs experienced help before he attempts a simple to install, but slightly more complicated to understand all-in-one.
what's the weather like over there?
