    Oil Temperature -Trane Chiller

    Dear all

We are having Centrifugal Water Chiller of Trane using HCFC -123 as the refrigerant . We are facing a problem with the Oil Heater. The temp is not raising above 90 F it should be above 140 F.We tried replacing the heater but still didnt worked , Checked the thermowell .Everything is working fine except the Oil temp . What could be the possible reason for this

I had a similar problem on an older carrier centrif - it turned out to be the thermostat.

hi u should check the settings of the controller.it might be set to low!!!as said before.
and make sure when unit is stopped that there is no water flow through the condenser.
    good luck
