    Automatic Products Company TXV -translate

I'm trying to size a condensing unit for a Stanley Knight soda fountain based on the old expansion valve. The old condensing unit is gone. The TXV is really old but I'm not sure how to interpret the info on it. Here's the description: 90 degree, 1/4" inlet, 1/2" outlet, top is yellow(R-12), stamped on the body is FP then K17R, the power head, which isn't removable, has "Orifice F045", and in another spot just 45 is stamped. The evaporators are static. It's a five foot long soda fountain with a cold well on the left accessible only through a hatch on top. The upper section where the flavors go is also refrigerated.

After receiving a reply from chemi-cool on the fundamentals forum, I am installing a 1/3 HP r134a unit on this soda fountain. Thanks for your interest, Dave
