old evaporator
I have a second hand old evaporator but there is no label about capacity of this evaporator. How can I calculate the capacity of this evaporator..." it used in -30 C room"
Thanks...

Re: old evaporator
What is the compressor make and model?
You can get a lot of info from it.
Also check the TXV for capacity at this temp.
And what refrigerant are you using.

Re: old evaporator
R22 is the refrigerant.
I will send you compressor model later.
What is TXV ?
Is there any another way to understand capatiy of evaporater.
Some of my friend can calculate approximate capacity of evaporater with multiply hight and with of evaporater and some other mesurmets.

Re: old evaporator
TXV = Thermostatic Expansion Valve.
By using rule of thumb, if evaporator is made of 5\8 pipe, 15 meters for 1 ton refrigeration. [TR]
Bitzer 6G-30.2 will give you at 40°C condensing temp, -35°C evaporating temp --- 24.1 KW = 7 TRLast edited by chemi-cool; 25-06-2010 at 04:24 PM.
