    thread sealant



    what type of sealant do you use threads have tryed a paste from climate center it was useless

    What is the service running through the pipes, different sealants for different fluids.

    Try loctite thread sealer,you need to be Hercules to get driers and Rotolocks undone afterwards mind!!!!!

    I've been using TruBlu by Rectorseal available from RPW or whatever they are called now, FSW?

    Used it on R22 R134a and R404A for fusible plug threads and compressor oil plugs. Not had one leak yet.

    Not had much success with that stuff NRS/climate does, it seems to dry out after time and go all crispy, have had to work on txvs where previous enginner had used it, nightmare to get ride of to get a good seal again.

    Used Loctite 577 for years, never had any problems..

    Have noticed leaks with one of the blue sealants, no sure which one..

    577 every time its expensive but like said never fails

    I use a local Place but RS or Cromwell tools are nation wide

    as many have already said loctite 577 is the best i've used some are ok but loctite really does the job

    Leak Lock is what I use on gas and refrigerant lines. It's the obnoxious blue stuff that doesn't come off.
