Whats is the impact in the Refrigeration with out TEV

Hi there,

I heve the situation where, the sensor bulbs for Thermo Expansion Valve damage by corrosions. at the moment since last few week I just regulate the Adjusting Stem at the TEV to achive the evaporator outlet temperature (TEV model : Sporlan / Parker DAE 10)

I need comment or advice for any impact, energy consumption or any disadvantages for this temporary solition.

Without the power element and sensor the thermostatic expansion valve functioning may be erratic.

Power element alone are available with Sporlan and can be replaced.
As the thermostatic expansion valves works based on the pressure exerted by suction sensed through sensor it is better it is not tampered with.
