You can replace R22 407C but remember to change the oil on the installation of synthetic and how long it should be all purged with nitrogen, to mount a filter dryer and ready.
Pairing 3,6-4,6 bar, overheating, 6-8K

I would avoid a change from R22 to R407c, and avoid expensive Ester oil. It can be done but this will be hard work
Better.... just change from R22 to R417a ( Isceon 59) and keep the same mineral oil. Be aware that some electronic contollers don't like the different temperatures of different refrigerants.
Edit: I have just googled carrier 30gtn , does it use Elec expansion valve? Make sure the EEV controller works ok if you change from R22.
Good luck Steve.Last edited by get the gauges; 11-07-2010 at 12:28 AM.
Put the screwdriver down and step away from the expansion valve !!!! OK Gary i won't touch it unless instructed.
