temperature in freezer
Hello guys!
going to have my final exam in a few days.
Considering that I have gone to school for almost a year now, this is probably a lame question.
I have mounted a freezer/ freezing room (not sure what it's called in english)
So I just had to be sure if the right temperature is -18 degrees celcius or if it is -22 degrees celsius?
Thanks in advance!

Re: temperature in freezer
The temperature can be whatever you desire.
Normal domestic frozen food should be stored at no warmer than -18°C, commercial stores may go for -22°C or beyond.
It does depend on the product that you are storing.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: temperature in freezer
Sometimes local regulations gives you the temperature.
In Belgium, frozen goods must be kept at a temperature >-18°C, so with -22°C, you have some safety margin.
If temperature goes higher then -18°C, then an alarm has to be triggered after a certain waiting time for every freezer larger than 10m³ (for Belgium) Temperature must also be recorded at least every 15 minutes with an automatic recording (again for freezers >10m³)It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
