    Chiller Coils

    Hi All,

Is it possible to convert an existing CFC refrigerant coil to water chiller coil......i.e, water through tube rather than R404A refrigerant?

    Any thoughts/suggestions?

    regards

Clean the oil from the tubes and you can run what you like through, just don't change your mind and try to go back to refrigerant.

The duty will probably change though.

    Hi
as said this might be possible, but your pressure drop will be entirley different, this could cause problems!

A DX coil will have a distributor and/or orifice plus circuiting for refrigerants. A coil circuited for water will be different.
