my kenmore refrigerator
I've posted some of this elsewhere but this place is probably more appropriate. I'll tell you eveything I know. I bought this refrigerator used to put in my BBQ contest trailer. I've had it for a few months and first plugged it in 3 days before I left, which was last week. It acted like it worked but when we got there it would cool to like 39 I think then shut off and wait until 60 to start again. This with the stat turned to coldest to try to combat the problem. I took the thermostat out and it had a spade connestor on the back that was sloppy, fixed that and it seems fine. I haven't noticed the fins inside icing up at all. The compressor draws 1.5 amps with a 7 LRA. The nameplate on the frig says 5 amps @ 120 volts. The compressor also gets very hot to the touch. Sorry this is long, just trying to answer any questions. Does any of this sound right or wrong? I have another competition in a week and a half and don't want to take this along if its not going to work. Thanks
