    inverter

    Is this text below true?
i want to know if compressor in inverter stops after reach set up temperature?or works continuously but with slower speed?
so if never shuts off how is that good for compressor?
    one example.:
if set up temperature is 20 and room temp is 16,compressor will run on heat mode(not auto)untill reaches 20 degres and then will slown down. What will happened if outdoor temperature (outside house) rise during day to 25 c,what is happening with compressor? It will stop or it will still run on heat mode ?i mean because inverters never stop running(just keep runing on slow speed).

An inverter air conditioner has the ability to vary
its output power or capacity to suit the environment.
Inverter air conditioners work by using a high power
operation to cool or heat a room to the set temperature.
After reaching the set temperature, the operation is
maintained at a low constant power.
Inverter air conditioners simply reduce the output
capacity to maintain the desired room temperature
    keeping the compressor operating continuously.
Another benefit of the inverter technology is less noise.
All that you hear is a continuous low whirring sound as
the motor gradually changes speed, rather than turning
on and off like conventional air conditioners.

    Re: inverter

An Inverter A/C system starts when called for ie if room set point is 21C and the dead band is 1C the system will start running at 20C at a low frequency and increase as the unit runs when the system has acheived set point the Inverter will begin to ramp down then stops if the a/c system is in automatic mode then the inverter compressor will also stop the unit should equalise pressures then energise/de-energise the reversing valve and start up in the same way but heating rather than cooling.
Inverter systems are designed as energy saving machine's i cant see how it would make sense to run continuosly as this would be constantly using energy plus the compressor would wear out a lot quicker

that is if it is in auto mode.my example was in heating or cooling mode...what is happeneing in that case?

if in heating only or cooling only the unit will start as stated above then stop untill the unit is called for again

    Re: inverter

As James has stated, if only in cooling or heating mode. It should operate until the control is satisfied then shut down. It should restart when there is demand for cooling or heating. An Inverter systems reminds me of the variable displacement compressors used in the automotive field. When there is less demand for cooling the compressor reduces its power consumption either by electronic or mechanical control.

    Re: inverter

by the way, toshiba inverters ras10-16 are never shut dow ccompressors if they work on heating or cooling mods only, even they rich set up temperature, they never shuts compressors, even outdoor temperature rise abopve set temperature, the compressor will always run untill we switch off indooor unit.
    I know that for sure...
so some inverters are shuting of the compressor, some not...
