Staircase pressurisation fan... Help me
Hi, Every one...........
I'm just asking about the steps of designing the staircase pressurisation fan ( High rise building)
and which the most mode or phase is used during design.... Fire detection phase, Fire Fighting phase and Evacuation phase....
Because i'm confused ( I'm site engineer not designer ) but i have to select the suitable fan according to cfm and static pressure.....
Thanx...........

Re: Staircase pressurisation fan... Help me
HI and welcome to the forum.
I believe the first duty of the system is to pressurise the staircase to provide safe evacuation of people.
There should be facilities available to the fire fighters to switch the fans OFF or ON as they require. On some systems there may be the ability to reverse the airflow for smoke extraction.
