    R-134a chargeing in car?



    what should be the suchtion and discharge pressure in a car when charging r-134a.

    Depends on the ambient temperature, setting of the condensing fan control and the design of refrigerant control. It could be suction of 1.8-2.0 bar and discharge of 9.0 to 12.0 bar.

    You generally charge by weight or sightglass plus weight with cars.

    Check the data plate for quantity required.

    car a/c are notorious for not working without the exact charge. you can try and charge by pressures but more often than not the pressure will show ok but it doesnt work that well. you need to reclaim and charge to weight as that is the only sure fire way. If youre not sure of the weight, post the car details and we will let you know

    Pressure are variable depending on ambient temperature as well as the car model. This can not be clearly recognized.
    You should load the weight because it is very important especially in Japanese cars.
    Testing a / c is possible only at 1500 rpm / min at ambient temperature of not less than 18 degrees Celsius
