Effect of oversized condenser?

Q no 1) What will be the effect if an oversized condenser condenser is used. I mean a 2Ton condenser is used in a 1TON system????

1. low head pressure ,system will work unstable
2. very hi head pressure,system will work unstable if the evaporator is small then you will be working on low suction as well- liquid slugging
3. this is info offhand there will be many more symptomes!!

Can you perhaps expand more on this part - oversize condenser? The low head-pressure part, I understand.

Where does the instability come from? Are you thinking on terms of driving pressure-difference across the orifice & possible hunting?

The system will be overcondensing resulting in an unstable supply of liquid at the tev inlet.
Low head pressure without a c/fan spped controller can contribute to low pressure trips certainly on cold days.
A 2 ton compressor on a 1 ton system will result in very high discharge pressure and overheating of the compressor providing it doesnt trip the HP safety first.
Are these theoretical questions or are you building a system like this?
