York YS screw chiller
Hi guys new to the forum any help would be great. I recently was working on this York chiller customer wanted to change oil and filters. My question being what is the best method of pumping chiller down? there is a service valve on the discharge line after oil sep but no service on suction, so that eliminates valving off that small section reclaiming and changing oil. I have seen on here about using your reclaimer and reclaim cylinder to transfer oil to cylinder and vapor back to chiller, but i am concerned with air getting into system with this method and pumping against pressure. There is a liquid line valve but I am not sure what LP switch opens and I am not even sure if you can get machine down to 0 any suggestions would be appreicated

Re: York YS screw chiller
u don't need to pump down, just drain the oil from oil separator and close the valve to change the filter
