Ask a refrigeration specialist to give you a quote for it.

Re: How much Tonage I need
You need to know first your design conditions and calculations of heat loads (wall/ceiling/floor loads, air change load, miscelanneous loads like motors, lights, etc. and the most important the Product load.) As an estimate you can add all these loads and I suggest you use the BTU/hr unit and multiply a safety load factor of 1.15.

Re: How much Tonage I need
Qest233,
O.K., you want to know the tonnage required in order to keep your contractor honest?
If I may offer some advice, focus your efforts on finding a reputable contractor and let them focus on the requirements of your walk-in.
It sounds like you've had problems with all the "crooks" you have dealt with in the past.
Negotiate a contract, back off and let them do the work, (without you looking over their shoulder),
inspect job upon completion, pay the man.
" I am not a crook!"

Re: How much Tonage I need
I believe you nike123, their references are basically for Airconditioning systems only. Refrigeration cold room design is a different scenario.
