Fellas -

I just discovered this site like 10 minutes ago. I've got something like 13 or so years in supermarkets, but recently took a gig as an In-House engineer at one of the casinos in Vegas.

They have alot of refrigeration, but have not really kept up with the times when it comes to things like the E2 or EEPR or the Bitzer compressor.

I'm in the process of putting together a proposal for the corporate boys, I'm of a mind to pitch it from the "green" angle. I was hoping you guys would have links to pdf's that I might hit print, show to the suits. Graphs of Before CDS, After CDS. Before Bitzer, After Bitzer. Like that.

Thanks. I checked the Search engine, didn't really find what I was looking for. This is a great site, tho. I intend to visit regularly. I've been a Professional Member of another site for a number of years, this will be added to my bookmarks. The graphs I have will hopefully be enough to get me approval to launch a full fledged study anyway. I hope.

Thank you for the pointers. I'll try to keep the language barrier in mind in the future.

The CDS is the Sporlan version of the Step Valve. Step Valves are electric refrigerant flow control valves that are quickly replacing mechanical Thermal Expansion Valves, Evaporator Pressure Regulators, Defrost Differential Valves, etc. The Step Valve has been shown to dramatically improve the energy efficiency of any refrigeration system they're installed in. I just need to prove this to accountants.

The same thing for the Bitzer compressor. They've proven themselves to be a better machine than the Copeland. But again, I need to prove this to people who are not easily impressed.

I met with Management this afternoon. We discussed the Bitzer compressor, Sporlan CDS valves, and E2 monitoring.

Bottom line... if I can show ROI (Return Of Investment) of 2 years or less, I'll get approval to proceed with upgrades.

Guess I'd better warm up the calculator.....
