Need help with my Candy Fridge Freezer

Candy fridge freezer (model CPA1612), I noticed does not switch off, it is constantly running making the food in the fridge compartment starting to freeze. I tried to lower the settings (the dial in the fridge) but does not react at all (I would expect it to click and turn it off), unless truned to zero - then it switches the applienace off an does not come on again when I turn the dial back up. I turn it off from the mains and few secods later turn it on again and it works continuously. Anybody has experienced the same or similar problem?

if it's freezing the food in the fridge it needs the thermostat changing.
