Fridge compressor oil
Hi. I got GE SxS 27cf with 1/4 Hp compressor, 1007 BTU, model: DA86C15RBU6 Matsu****a compressor. I am trying to figure out how much oil should be in the system. I drained some out and going to blow out the rest from piping on the fridge. Is there any guide for each compressor how much oil should be in it, like when factory fills it? I want to compare the original amount to what should be in it. Thanks all.

Re: Fridge compressor oil
Why did you drain the oil from the compressor, for what reason?

Re: Fridge compressor oil
Apparently the sealed system had problem so it had to be opened.
It was opened for some time so naturally the oil is going to have some moisture in it. So my question still remains the same and unanswered: Can some one tell me please if there is any oil guide for compressors and how much should be in it? My fridge/compressor doesn't describe the amount of oil. Thanks.
