    General Fault...again.

Just been to look at General unit (ABG24RBA, I think). As soon as the unit is powered up it goes straight in to fault.

    Operation (red) flashes 2 times
    Timer (Green) Flashes rapidly
    Vertical Swing (Orange) Flashes rapidly
Horizontal Swing is off all the time.

I donīt have any manuals or codes or anything for this unit, but I think that is Room Thermistor Fault, am I right?

    cheers,
    paul..

The data plate is pretty mashed up and hard to read. Itīs a floor/ceiling unit on R22 I think. It might be ABG24RBA-W, is that any closer?

Yep it is probably room thermistor error. It should be 10kOhm at 25°C.

    Re: General Fault...again.

I know this is quite an old thread but I have just been to do this job. Swapped the sensor over, powered up and and the unit started. Switched the power off and back on again and then unit now goes in to pipe thermistor fault before the outdoor even starts.

I think it is a dead PCB as the client didn't tell me before, but if they turned the power off to the unit, when turned back on it would sometimes (1 out of 10 times) work until the power went off again, at which point it would show the room thermistor fault. So it seems to be an intermittent fault, hence why I think indoor PCB.

    Any thoughts?
