    Blast freezer addition

As of now we have all our rooms (low temp) -5F running off the same engine room sharing the same suction accumulator and suction line. The question is we are thinking of changing one of the rooms to a blast freezer we have enough H.P to do so but do you think it would be a good idea to run this blast freezer on it's own suction line, accumulator and booster? We would like to see a temp of in the range of -30F thanx for any input and have a great day!

Yes it is not advisable to run a blast freeze rm. with only a -5 deg.F system. Definitely you would not achieve the required blast frezer evap. temp. of -30 deg.F by just sharing with the -5 system. You need to design and install a new -30degF system with a new compressor, aircooler, surge accumulator with pumps and an intercooler/economizer.
