    refrigeration system matchup

    Hi Sirs
If need to design a cooling capacity 30kw chiller at a standard condition, how you to matchup the refrigeration system? Usually we select the compressor with 10~15% more capacity than the design capacity. That's to say, select >33kw comrepssor for 30kw nominal chiller, is it correct or there are other precise methods? thanks in advance!

    regards
    LC

    Re: refrigeration system matchup

How far is this 30 kW calculated correct Lc?

I should take care that your chiller can give 30 kW at its most harsh conditions (high ambient, max waterflow)

It's up to the client if he wants to pay for extra backup or redundancy.

Anyhow, I doubt if you will find a compressor / condenser / evaporator which will match precisely what you need.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.
