    Fridge Jobs in USA

Hi guys, just finished NVQ's but hopefully starting HNC in September (undecided if doing fridge or building service course).

Always toyed with the idea of trying the States for a year when I'm fully qualified but dont have a clure about the industry over there. Who are the biggest companies and retailers? Are they moving towards CO2 like the UK or are they staying with *****?

I deal in supermarket refrigeartion (design-I'm a pen pusher )

What advice would you give me if I was interested in this? Is there a part of the industry I should try to specialise in (ie, CO2)?

Is there a part of the country I should be looking at?

    All help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!

hi cj there is a poster called hillbilly i think he was from bonny scotland and has moved to the usa, if i can remember rightly i think he has given mixed reports about the place.
if you are into design and have good grasp of co2 design, then the usa could be a good move as i think the big supermarkets out there are ready to take the plundge into this especialy around the west coast.

there are plenty of jobs in Oklahoma City, for which you need a mechanical journeymans license.
they're sticking with refrigerant as opposed to co2 at the moment.
    Texas requires no license.
    good luck.
