According to your profile Lees8110, you are already a 'Service Engineer' so I would have thought that this was a mute question

Have you read any of the manufacturer's data sheets?

Have a look on the Airedale site for starters.....and there lots of other good web sites out there...

We all have our ways of servicing but Engineers seem to have their different methods.

I was just interested in other engineers methods and opinions.

Such as the necessaty of putting gauges on a good , working unit to measure superheat/subcooling or to just record temperatures (delt T's) ect.

He should have included methods to ballpark actual operating BTUH of a tested system.

Ballpark BTUH= CFM X's times 4.5 @sea level or X's 4.25 @ around 1000' above sea-level, X's times (enthalpy CHANGE) using the Supply-Air Return-Air wet bulb temps, with enthalpy change taken off the linked enthalpy chart.

"U should Right Click Link below & open in New Tab," look-up wet bulb enthalpy figures on chart," & figure the enthalpy change.

    Nice link, Nike.

Richard Lofftus is a longtime customer... kinda makes me proud.

The way most people work is to bang filters out then drive off.
