Frick suction check failure
Hi guys
Over the past year I have replaced 4 Frick suction checks that use a rubber seat. The rubber has expanded causing the seat to pop out of the groove it fits in. Obviously the material is incompatible with ammonia or Frick #3 oil. Each of the replacements from Frick had machined metal seats. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Hi Magoo
I noticed awhile ago that there are two of us with almost the same username. The only difference is mine doen't have a space and his does, however I did follow the post you speak of and my company has had issues with Reflo 68A below 10 F, so we don't use it in applications below this. This oil is not compatible with Buna-N orings but HSN or HBNR don't seem to give us any trouble.
